PERSONALITY. Fiercely loyal, steadfast, and prideful, Rankah was once a compassionate and caring protector of the Azim Steppe, guiding those within and beyond with a caring hand and a full heart. Now, brutality and ruthlessness surface beyond her cold exterior, intent on keeping people as close as they need to be, and not any closer. Hardened by pain and sacrifice, she is reluctant to become close to anyone and anything, but her frigidness belies the warmth that still exists within her soul. BACKGROUND. Born under an Eclipse, the Hotgo Tribe saw this as a blessing from not only the Dusk Mother, Nhaama, but also the Dawn Father, Azim. Proof of such a blessing laid within her heightened aether, as well as the circumstances of her birth. She was raised to become the Hotgo's next Udgan, her blessings considered a sign from the heavens above to her fate. However, some members of the Oronir wanted her for her blessings, and her father was killed for it. Fearing the slaughter of countless in her tribe, Rankah exiled herself from the Hotgo Tribe, choosing to live temporarily in Reunion until her training was completed, to which she left the Steppes to live in Kugane.Adapting to her new environment and the cultures was tough, but she eventually managed, making a name of herself as a Shaman in Othard. She still believes herself to be the chosen Udgan of Nhaama and Azim, returning to the Steppes so often to fulfill her perceived duties, tending to the Children of the Steppe, no matter her feelings towards the tribes that occupy her home.And yet, others had something different in mind for the Xaela. Are you a Xaela from the Steppe? Maybe you recognize Rankah from one of her many previous visits, but why does she look so different from what you remember, or have heard about her?
Those with Aethersight can not only see that her Aether is constantly imbalanced, tilting towards Astral or Umbral, something deep within her is causing the imbalance. What could it be?
Rumors of a Fierce Xaela in the area have reached your ears. Do you go to investigate the potential threat, to subdue her or calm her down?
Those acutely in the know of Dragons and Wyrms get the same feeling they give off from this Xaela.
Despite carrying large blades and weapons with ease, she fights like someone who is still in training. Maybe a bit of advice could help her improve?
